Established in 1903 Francis Brown Ltd began life as a family-run, modest concern based in Stockton-on-Tees in the North East of England. Subsequently developing into a leader in the provision of services to the Chemical, Oil & Gas, Renewable and Nuclear Industrial Markets.

Today our organisation remains a family run business and continues to grow from strength to strength. Boasting a track record spanning over a century, we believe our success is a direct result of the longstanding commitment and service we provide to our customers.

As an independent supplier of design, fabrication, welding, machining, assembly and installation we work closely with our customers to provide cost-effective engineering solutions.

Comprising of a team of over 100 expert and highly dedicated staff Francis Brown Ltd is able to provide a range of skills and knowledge through the employment of Platers, Welders, Machinists, Fitters and Support Engineers. Our Facilities

Whilst our commitment to quality and enthusiasm for success has remained unchanged since the company began, it is with confidence that we have encouraged the modernisation and expansion of our facilities.

With a welcoming reception area and networked offices we are able to run state of the art control and planning software across over 3000m² of workshop space. Split in to defined workshop areas including a ‘Clean Room’ we ensure the complete segregation of stainless steel, nickel alloys and carbon steel materials.

The assembly of larger components is carried out in over 1500m˛ of warehouse space which also provides a useful storage facility. The workshop and storage space is complimented by our own internal craneage system supporting up to 50Te. The in-house saws, guillotines, clean room, plate rolls and CNC press brake adds to the range of services on offer at our new premises, as do the metal workers, machine tools and advanced welding machines, we have also recently invested in a ‘Faro Arm’ lazer measuring equipment.

Long-established links, and fantastic relationships, with local sub-contractors allows for effective partnership working and support networks for all aspects of our business, allowing us to assist you in all your business needs.
