We are delighted to have been awarded a world leading quality standard – ISO 9001:2015 – one year ahead of the deadline for implementation.
The standard – only published in September 2016 – is the most rigorous to date and, as such, companies across the UK have been given up to three years to implement systems and secure it.
Yet true to form, in our constant pursuit of innovation, Francis Brown has secured the standard early which is a real testament to the hard work and commitment of all team members within the business.
The quality standard means firms across the UK have to implement systems that ensure all work processes, risks and opportunities, methods of work and management planning is documented and, crucially, that all employees understand and are aware of it.
For Francis Brown this involved a complete overhaul of our management systems combined with the training of more than 100 staff across our sites.
The new requirements are quite massive and we’re delighted to have delivered what we set out to achieve and are incredibly proud to be – what we believe is – one of very few companies in Teesside to achieve this certification to date.
We are confident that securing such an accolade will enable us to continue to be at the forefront of our industry, secure new contract wins and continue to provide employment opportunities in the local community.
We are also extremely pleased to report that we have we have also been successful in our re-assessment of ISO 3834 and ISO 1090 certifications.
